Claud Bunyard Walnut Butcherblock Table from Design Research USA 1956 Claud Bunyard was the in-house designer and manager of Design Research, Cambridge during the 1950's through early 1960's for which he designed and built this solid walnut butcher block cocktail table. DR was a mecca for well designed and well made furniture and accessories, representing Alvar Aalto, Hans Wegner, Eero Saarinen as well as introducing Marimekko to the US. Among his many achievements, Claud Bunyard's quartic oval dining table won a prize at the Bussels World's Fair - World Expo 1958 - having been selected as part of the US Craft Exhibit in the US Pavilion.
